Kumho Hanya Group, which Kumho Tire belongs to, is one of the eight major Korean groups. The group's annual sales reached 21 trillion won, and it owns multinational companies with 23 subsidiaries including Asiana Airlines. Among them, 8 subsidiaries including Kumho Tire, Asiana Airlines, Kumho Petrochemical, Dahan Transport, Kumho Car Rental, Kumho Expressway, Kumho Development, and Daewoo Construction have successfully entered the Chinese market.

Kumho Hanya Group, one of the eight major groups in South Korea, was established in 1946. It initially started with just two taxis alone. It has now expanded its company to tires, high-speed buses, petrochemicals, construction, aviation and other fields. It has become one of the few group companies in South Korea.

Kumho Tire is a large professional tire manufacturer invested and built by Kumho Hanya Group, one of the eight major groups in South Korea. Kumho Tires were optimistic about the unlimited development potential of the Chinese market as early as 1994. In the early stages of entering the Chinese market, it established a Nanjing factory with an annual output of 5 million pieces. Starting from the completion of the second phase of Nanjing factory in 2005, the Tianjin factory in 2006, the Changchun factory in 2007, and the Nanjing TBR factory in 2008 were completed and put into production one after another. Now it has the ability to produce 30 million pieces per year.

In April 2006, a sales company was established in Shanghai to achieve the separation of production and sales of Kumho Tires. Through 18 offices and 9 business offices across the country, Kumho Tires has the ability to quickly sell and support the company and a complete after-sales service network. In China, the world's second largest automobile manufacturer, Kumho Tire is currently the number one tire brand in the China supporting market. With this as a backing, it maintains a sales growth of 20% per year in the sedan replacement tire market. In 2014, Kumho Tires planned to have a passenger car tire market share of 28%.

Kumho Tire has built a complete logistics system through 8 logistics warehouses across the country, including Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, etc., and together with more than 200 dealers, more than 1,500 retail stores across the country, and the "TirePro Station" of the high-end circulation store of Kumho Tire established in 2008, it has formed a more complete and comprehensive service system.

In China, Kumho Tire has successfully become a designated tire supplier for the Asian Formula Renault and a tire sponsor for the Changan Ford team of the National Field Championships, and its technical strength has been fully recognized. In addition, Kumho Tire is a platinum member sponsor of Premier League giant Manchester United, and it fully applies this to differentiated high-end marketing strategies.

Kumho Tire will continue to expand production, research, marketing, after-sales systems in the future, and strive to become the first in China.
