Founded in 1777, Kent Brushing Company has been regarded as one of the world's well-known comb manufacturers and one of the older British trading companies today.

With over 245 years of making brushes, Kent Brush offers a wide selection of over 250 products, from brushes to hair, body, clothing, cosmetics, teeth and face repairs. In the UK, Kent works with a number of historic department stores, including John Lewis, Selfridges, Harrods, Liberty and Fortnum and Mason, as well as leading pharmaceutical companies. Kent also distributes to more than 50 countries around the world, including the United States, Canada, Australia, Japan, Europe, Scandinavia and the Middle East.

Kent Brushes is more well-known for its hairbrush range, including products that suit any hair type, length or style and budget. There are a variety of brushes to choose from, including styling brushes, spokes, pottery making, ionic paddles, volumising and pure bristles. Despite constant pressure from cheap imported goods labeled as “designer”, Kent will not be content to sell poor quality products at high prices.

Kent is known for his passion for bristle brushes. Bristles are from excellent bristle vendors in India and China, and the wood is selected from sustainable forests around the world and is selected for its aesthetics, textures, colors and suitability for molding, drilling and polishing. The rubber pad was chosen because of its softness and strength, which was comfortable for a fragile scalp, but was strong enough to withstand years of use. The ends of the plastic quill are carefully rounded so that the tangled hair can be combed without pulling.
