Kato (China) Engineering Machinery Co., Ltd. was established in February 2004 by Japan and was put into operation as a part factory for cranes in 2006. Since the first 20-ton hydraulic excavator, HD820III Special, was put into production in June 2008, through continuous improvement and expansion of the production system, the factory can currently produce excavators of 8 to 48 tons.
