In the first year of Tongzhi in the Qing Dynasty (1862), Huachunshan opened a Huajia Zhuo Needle Shop at the entrance of Datiao Bureau near Jiejiaqiao, Hulong Street (now Renmin Road, Suzhou City), to produce and sell sewing needles and acupuncture needles. Hua Maoqing inherited his father's business and the store name was changed to Hua Erfang Zhuozhen Store. From then on, "there are Tongren Hall in the north and the second house in Hua in the south" has been spread among the people. The country and country are in turmoil and almost twists and turns. After the founding of New China, Huaerfang Zhuo Needle Store was merged and reorganized and renamed it as a medical supplies factory.

In 1979, the trademark "Huatuo Brand" was reopened.

In 1980, the State Administration of Medicine formulated the Suzhou Medical Supplies Factory to draft the national standards for the "Acupuncture Needles".

In 2009, it became a wholly-owned subsidiary of Yuyue Medical. Since then, the company has entered a period of rapid development.

In 2014, the new modern factory of Suzhou High-tech Zone Science and Technology City was put into use.

As a wholly-owned subsidiary of Jiangsu Yuyue Medical, Suzhou Medical Supplies Factory Co., Ltd. has developed to this day and has become a benchmark enterprise in the production of acupuncture device products in China.

The company has a R&D center of more than 2,000 square meters, a production line of more than 20,000 square meters, a GMP workshop of 5,000 square meters, as well as sterile laboratories of 10,000 and 100,000 grades, positive laboratory, and microbial limit laboratory. The company is a key high-tech enterprise in the National Torch Plan and is a construction unit of the traditional Chinese medicine diagnosis and treatment equipment production demonstration base recognized by the State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine.

Suzhou Medical Supplies Factory has innovatively realized the automation of the manufacturing process of acupuncture needles, and has taken the lead and obtained the patent for automatic handle machine, realizing the automation of cannula, needle discharge and packaging, greatly improving the production efficiency and product quality of acupuncture needles. The company's products cover four major fields: acupuncture devices, electronic acupuncture devices, home health care devices, and surgical instruments. It has established a sales and service network in more than 100 countries and regions around the world.

In 2011, Suzhou Medical Supplies Factory led the drafting of the international standards for acupuncture needle ISO. For a hundred years, Suzhou Medical Supplies Factory has always insisted on firmly combining the inheritance of traditional Chinese medicine and the innovation of modern technology. While it continues to develop itself, it has also made China and even more. The development of traditional Chinese medicine in the world has contributed to the development of bricks and tiles.
