Halton was founded in Finland in 1969 by the current chairman's father Seppo Halttunen. The company is owned by the Halttunen family and is headquartered in Helsinki, the capital of Finland.
Today, Halton has operated in more than 35 countries around the world and has more than 1,900 skilled professionals.
Production departments were established in nine countries: Finland, France, Germany, the United Kingdom, the United States, Canada, China, Malaysia and Brazil, and R&D departments were established in eight of them. Production licenses have also been issued to partners in South Africa, Mexico, New Zealand and Australia.
