The company was founded in 1984. It was a town-run quarry located in Nanzamu Town, Xinbin Manchu Autonomous County, the hometown of the Manchus and the birthplace of the Qing Dynasty. It was converted to a private enterprise in 1985 and renamed it in 2005. Fushun Gelianghao Chemical Co., Ltd., was transformed into Gelianghao New Materials Co., Ltd. in 2015, and was listed on the New Third Board in 2016 (Stock Code: 836618). In 2019, it was relocated from Nanzamu Town to Fushun High-tech Industrial Development Zone .
