Furen Group was the predecessor of Fuzhou artificial board factory, which was founded in 1979. It was jointly built by the former Ministry of Forestry and Fujian Province in the early days of reform and opening up in my country. It specialized in the research, development, production, sales and industrial raw material forest cultivation of artificial boards and their deep-processed products. A large state-owned wholly-owned enterprise for comprehensive utilization of wood, Fujian Shipbuilding Industry Group Co., Ltd. holds 60% of the shares and China Forestry Industry Co., Ltd. holds 40% of the shares.
Furen Group is a national key leading enterprise in forestry, a national forest certification pilot enterprise, a national forest standardization demonstration enterprise and a forest industry dual-carbon strategy pilot demonstration enterprise. It mainly engages in 5 boards and 1 platform: Furen Forestry Bamboo Fragrance Board, Furen Fuzhou Classification Board, Furen Putian Armor Board, Furen Home Decoration Board, Furen Melting Board, and Provincial Forestry Storage Platform. Furen Group has 6 wholly-owned subsidiaries, 3 holding subsidiaries, 3 equity-owned companies, 2 third-level subsidiaries, and total assets of 2 billion yuan.
Furen Group is responsible for drafting the national standard of "Medium-density Fiberboard" and presided over the drafting of group standards such as "Ultra-thin bamboo particleboard".
