Focal-JMLab was founded in 1979. Its birthplace is located in Saint-Etienne, France. The founder is Mr. Jacques Mahul, a talented math department. In the end, he couldn't help but fall in love with Audax, the largest speaker unit manufacturer in France at that time, and Audax's first soft-convex basin tweeter was written by Jacques Mahul. Jacques Mahul decided to leave after five years at Audax to make his own speakers in the "France-Filieres" machinery factory opened by his family. The original France-Filieres is known for its precise mechanical processing, mainly for other manufacturers to manufacture aluminum cast molds, design and manufacture special mechanical tools, and naturally has sufficient conditions to implement multiple design blueprints in Jacques Mahul's mind as finished products.
