The origin of Emac dates back to 1867. It was originally a cast iron and machine tool manufacturing factory established in Baozen, Saxony. The company was rebuilt in 1952 and was located between the city of Stuttgart and Ulm, not far from Salah, where the company is today. After the company rebuilt, it began to manufacture lathes.
Start producing only simple screw lathes and tie rod lathes. In the 1960s, automatic lathes with turrets began to be produced. Since then, program-controlled single-axle and double-axle lathes, high-efficiency, modular structure single-axle and multi-axle automatic lathes have been successively produced. In addition, special machine tools are also produced and processed for automotive parts. In the 1980s, Emmack achieved great success in manufacturing highly automated CNC lathe units. The production system is sold all over the world and is put into use by all walks of life. In 1992, Emmack introduced an inverted lathe. The lathe features the main shaft to load and unload, and the main shaft to walk, while the tool holder is fixed. That is to say, Emmak turned the traditional lathe upside down.
What's even better is that each VSC series machine tool is a complete production unit. It not only takes loading and unloading from the spindle (this saves the expensive related costs in the past), but it is faster. Through continuous innovation, based on VSC lathes, a multi-functional machining center has been developed that integrates functions such as turning, drilling, boring, milling, grinding, teeth hobbing, and laser. The machining center references the structure of the VSC lathe, but the tool system has changed.
