It was April 19, 1981, a dull day. But a small village called Korb near Stuttgart, Germany, is brewing a change that can be recorded in history. On that day, Jürgen Daubert and Rolf Belz, two idle young men, locked the garage (in those days, it was used entirely for another purpose) and set off for the nearby Wembley. There, they strode into the government office without hesitation and successfully registered their first brand - d&b Audiotechnik. Strangely, not long after, this young brand, which looked quite "consistent", removed the spaces between the letters d and b, and changed the entire name to lowercase letters.
However, in April when everything was smooth, no one knew whether the two fledgling entrepreneurs were eager to return to their garage or whether they were drinking and chatting. It really fits the old saying that history is always accompanied by a little mystery.
In the 1980s, the D&B headquarters was placed in an old textile factory near Bucknan. Today, more than 500 employees have worked here, and it is their decisions, expertise and optimism that brings the quality of d&b into people's lives.
