Brand Introduction

COSUCRA dates back to 1852, when it was a beet sugar factory located in the village of Warcoing, Belgium. After many wars, crises and transformations, COSUCRA has gradually shifted from the traditional sugar industry to the production of natural food ingredients made of chicory and peas. In 1982, COSUCRA began to produce chicory fructose, in 1986, and in 1990, it began to produce chicory root fiber (inulin). In 2003, COSUCRA stopped sugar production and integrated it into Iscal Sugar. In 2006, COSUCRA stopped the production of chicory fructose and merged its pea and chicory subsidiary, R&D activities, agriculture sector, seed business (CHICOLINE) and feed business (SOCODE) into COSUCRA Groupe Warcoing. In 2015, COSUCRA implemented a liberalized enterprise model to promote management innovation. Since 2017, COSUCRA has continued to invest in pea and chicory factories to ensure advanced technology.

COSUCRA has chosen nature and sustainability as the core of its development from the very beginning. It is committed to promoting economic development in the region and enhancing the value of agricultural products through cooperation with local farmers. Currently, COSUCRA has more than 300 employees and has established long-term cooperative relationships with more than 500 farmers. It has sales offices in Belgium, France, Poland, the United States, Brazil, China and other countries, and sells its products in more than 60 countries around the world.

COSUCRA mainly produces four natural food ingredients from chicory and peas: FIBRULINE™ chicory root fiber, PISANE™ pea protein, SWELITE™ pea fiber and NASTAR™ pea starch. These ingredients have a variety of nutritional properties and health benefits, such as increasing satiety, lowering blood sugar, improving intestinal health, providing high-quality plant protein, enhancing immunity, and more. They also have good functionality, such as providing stability, water retention, gelability, emulsification, etc., and are suitable for formulas and processing of a variety of food and beverages. COSUCRA's products mainly serve three markets: the balanced nutrition market, the plant-based market and the health and nutrition market.
