The company's predecessor was Sayama Precision Industrial Co., Ltd., which was established in Sayama City, Saitama Prefecture in 1958. It is the first company to process and produce parts by Citizen Timepiece Co., Ltd.
The production of watch parts is super precision machining technology. After the precision machining technology is refined, gear cutting technology is used to start producing miniature motor reducers. In 1963, Koryo Precision Co., Ltd. (Higao City, Saitama Prefecture ), and Chichibu Precision Co., Ltd. (Chichu City, Saitama Prefecture) was established in 1980. From then on, we began to develop motor research and development and production of motors and developed motors with reducers (gear reducer motors), which became the industry standard. This is the origin of the motor production business that the company is now engaged in.
Later, after the reorganization and adjustment of the merger of Koryo Precision Co., Ltd. and Chichibu Precision Co., Ltd. and the subsidiary of Citizen Timepiece Group, the current CITIZEN MICRO Co., Ltd. was established in October 2013.
On the occasion of the 60th anniversary of Sayama Precision Industrial Co., Ltd. and the 55th anniversary of the founding of Koryo Precision Co., Ltd., the company's headquarters was moved from Sayama City to Hitaka City on October 1, 2018, and the Chichibu factory also reopened in August. The management system of the Rigao Corporation factory and the father factory has taken a new step.
Now, the various motors produced by the company are widely used in medical instruments, industrial machines, residential equipment, security machines, optical instruments and other fields. The products play a role in places that are invisible in people's daily lives every day.
