Chemex hand-punched pot, also known as American follicle pot, was created by German inventor Peter Schlumbohm.
Peter Schlumbohm was born into a wealthy family, but joined the German army after graduating from high school. Perhaps this career made him deeply tired. After returning to China in 1918, he gave up the right to inherit his family business to realize his ideal of continuing his further studies. After obtaining his Ph.D. in chemistry at the University of Berlin, he devoted his main energy to invention and creation. As early as 1931, he went to the United States to register for the first time a Chemex hand-punching pot patent.
In the following decades, Dr. Schlumbohm continued to polish and perfect the Chemex design, so that it can take into account both aesthetics and practicality. Finally, when Chemex's complete body was truly invented, it would have been until 1941.
Chemex's beautiful and unique curves have been loved by people since it was invented, and the heat-resistant wooden collar and leather rope on its neck are the finishing touches, exuding a classical and elegant atmosphere, and are also very practical (acted as a Heat resistant pad).
In addition to its appearance, Chemex's production quality is also extremely high. Because its filter paper is thicker than ordinary Japanese filter paper and can absorb more grease in coffee, the extracted coffee tastes more refreshing and pure.
