Brand Introduction

CAMP was born in the Premana mountain village in the Valsassina valley in Italy in 1889, and has not been relocated yet. Mr. Nicola Codega, the creator of the company, is proficient in wrought iron and runs a small workshop that produces products according to the needs of the village and people nearby.

Tradition and production experience were taught to sons through fathers, and Antonio inherited his father’s career and began to expand. At that time, no one could have thought that those products would become the factory's long-lasting and unique brand, and even more so that its products would be sold all over the world in decades.

The main reason that drove Antonio, especially his sons, into the mountaineering product market was an encounter with the world climber Riccardo Cassin. Riccardo Cassin has been relying on CAMP to make some equipment for him, such as rock nails and nuts. Riccardo Cassin's extraordinary appeal has prompted a new generation of company owners to increase their interest in entering a market that had expanded significantly in the late 1960s.

Therefore, the third generation of heirs represented by Orazio, Nicolino, Samuele and Benedetto have penetrated into the powerful international mountaineering staff. Through their cooperation with them, historic products were born: with mountaineers and designers from the United States. The Lowe brothers cooperated with the beech, crampons, and triangular cam.

The company's continuous development is due to continuous innovation and great attention to market trends.

With the continuous upgrading of products, trade has also developed simultaneously: products are exported to 60 countries and regions, including emerging countries such as China, India and other Southeast Asia. The company first obtained the ISO9001 international quality system certification, and then the ISO9001:2000 certification.

In the late 1990s, CAMP purchased the CASSIN brand and opened a second franchise store in Colorado, USA to serve the US market. CAMP continues to play an increasingly important role in the outdoor market and continues to internationalize.
