Bredel heavy duty hose pumps can handle abrasive slurries, muds and sludge with 100% volume accuracy. The difference with diaphragm pumps, rotary cam pumps and screw pumps is that the moving parts of the Bredel hose pump do not come into contact with the product and therefore do not require mechanical seals. They store all the pumped fluid in durable hoses to prevent operators from contacting chemicals, mud or sludge. Each Bredel hose is precision-machined to ensure flow stability and pump performance in harsh fluid handling applications.

Bredel's industrial pumps can deliver up to 80% of solids fluid, and the flow rate can reach 108 cubic meters per hour at 16 bar operating pressure. Unlike many other pump types, the flow rate is completely unaffected by inlet and outlet conditions. Heavy duty bearings and unique buffer zones in the pump rotor protect the gear unit from overhanging loads and contamination. Only Bredel industrial hose pumps provide such engineering-grade protection for their transmissions.

Bredel uses direct-connect technology, combining the reliability of long-axis pumps and the compact footprint of tight-connected pumps. Heavy-duty rotor bearings and innovative buffers in the pump rotor protect the gear from overhang wall loads and cross contamination.

Higher single-turn flow means that APEX can run at lower speeds, which extends hose life and reduces wear. Since there is no need to maintain expensive consumable parts such as seals, valves, diaphragms or rotors, APEX is ideal for handling abrasive muds and corrosive chemicals.

Compared to other pump types, APEX has a considerably longer uptime. Maintenance only requires replacement of one hose and it can be completed within minutes.
