Changshu Daxiang Construction and Ceramics Co., Ltd. (formerly state-owned Changshu Brick Factory and Jiangsu Daxiang Building Materials and Ceramics Group Co., Ltd.), was founded in June 1952. It is a municipal industrial restructuring enterprise with a history of 70 years of factory construction. According to the unified deployment of the Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government, the property rights system reform was implemented in 2000 and became a private enterprise with all employees. In 2004, the company implemented the "retreat two and advance three", and the company moved from Yushan North Road (Zouxiang) to Shanghu Town (Yetang). In 2017, the company implemented the second policy relocation. In the second half of 2018, the company acquired Changshu Enyi Weaving Co., Ltd. with full ownership and officially moved to the new site in June 2019.

The company's "Elephant" brand ceramic tiles are manufactured and continued to operate under the fixed brand production. At the same time, the company takes advantage of the situation and actively seeks a new path of transformation and development.

As a municipal reorganized enterprise, with the correct leadership and strong support of the superior government and competent departments over the past few decades, the enterprise has created a relatively brilliant history after several generations of hard entrepreneurship. It was once a large and medium-sized national building materials and ceramics enterprise and a trustworthy product quality enterprise in Jiangsu Province. The production process of colored glaze ceramic tile was obtained in 2013 in the national invention patent.
