Minfeng Special Paper Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Minfeng) is located in Jiaxing City, the Hangzhou-Jiahu Plain in northern Zhejiang. Minfeng's predecessor, "Hefeng Paper Company", was founded in 1923 by Mr. Chu Fucheng, a famous patriot from Jiaxing. In 1930, Hefeng Papermaking Company was reorganized, and industrial capitalist Zhu Mei first took over Hefeng Papermaking Company and renamed "Minfeng Papermaking Co., Ltd.". The registration place is in Shanghai, and the "Ship" brand product trademark was registered in the same year. The trademark name remains in use today. The company's early products were mainly white cardboard, blue-gray cardboard and yellow cardboard.

In September 1998, the Zhejiang Provincial People's Government issued a document to approve the establishment of Minfeng Special Paper Co., Ltd. In November, Minfeng Special Paper Co., Ltd. held a founding meeting and announced the official establishment of the joint-stock company. In April 2000, the China Securities Regulatory Commission formally approved the issuance of 52 million public shares of "Minfeng Special Paper" with the "Notice on Approval of the Public Issuance of Shares of Minfeng Special Paper Co., Ltd." No. 49 of Securities Regulatory Commission Issuance No. (2000) 49, and officially approved the issuance of 52 million public shares of "Minfeng Special Paper" ( A shares). Since its successful creation of domestic cigarette paper, Minfeng has successively trial-produced and developed more than 150 new varieties.
