The history of BMG began in 1990 when physicist Dr. Bella Gullas founded BMG LABTECH in Offenburg, Germany. Starting from one person, BMG LABTECH has become a global manufacturing company. From beginning to end, BMG LABTECH focuses on helping other companies design solutions in the fields of microplate reading and processing.
In the first three years of BMG's establishment, it was affected by the company's strategic positioning. At the shareholders' meeting, more shareholders joined in, including Dr. Thomas Räbiger, who leads the company today. Our team quickly realized that we should develop our own products and become the "microplate reader company" on the market.
In 1993, BMG LABTECH received funding for the development of a fluorescence detection device. This grant is the first shot to a successful future. In the same year, BMG LABTECH launched FLUOstar, the second fluorescence-based microplate reader on the market. The development and launch of FLUOstar has made BMG LABTECH a pioneer in the field of fluorescence polarization detection.
For more than 30 years, unique innovative technologies have been developed to defend their technological leadership in the field. BMG is driven by its desire to provide scientists around the world with the best research instruments. Today, BMG LABTECH provides a wide range of dedicated and multi-mode microplate readers for life science applications and high-throughput screening.
