Brand Introduction

The first Marquis of Anglesea lost one leg a year before the Waterloo War, and in 1816 Chas A. Blatchford invented the Clapper leg for him. The name Clapper Leg is derived from the sound made by the prosthetic when walking. This leg is also a feature of the Blazyfund Clinic founder Chas A. Blatchford, then founder of Blazyfund, in London in 1890.

The sudden war in 1914 led to a large number of disabled people returning to Great Britain, which also meant that the demand for prosthetics in the upper and lower arms increased dramatically. This war also stimulated the development of the prosthetic industry in product design, quality, and production.

After the end of World War II, the younger generation of amputation patients have increasingly voiced the controllable performance of prosthetics. The Braziford Development Research Department immediately developed a new prosthesis that can withstand the weight of amputated patients and walk very easily, more like a normal person walking. This prosthetic was eventually named Blatchford Stabilised Knee and was sold worldwide.

In the 1970s, Brain Blatchford designed the first modular assembly prosthetic in the UK. This modularity allows the prosthesis to be assembled like a building block. Finally, the prosthetic assembly and installation of a large number of amputated patients was completed in a short time. This pioneering and successful invention has also won multiple awards: including the Queen's Award, the Design Committee Award, the McRobert Award, the German Design Award and the American Medical Design Excellence Award.

In the 2000s, Blyziford's invention of footboards, ankles, and knee prosthetics was even more exciting. The knee prosthesis includes the KX06, and the prosthesis with one-button control and hydraulic control makes walking smoother.

The development of the foot is also remarkable. The Echelon's feet have ankle movements that flow naturally like water, while also using hydraulic technology and independent carbon fiber spring heels and toes.

The success of Echelon's feet focuses on biomimicry design, which can maximize the imitation of human walking postures and functions. The award-winning product Elan has an incredible chip that controls and assists users in walking and ensures users’ safety when walking on slopes. Recently, Linx's first generation of microchip-controlled lower arm prosthesis system allows users' feet and legs to communicate with each other, maximize the high performance of walking and improve safety performance again.
