BLAGDON
BLAGDON
Founded by George Blagdon and George Flynn in the early 1950s, the British BLAGDON PUMP started as a small engineering workshop that supplies cargo to local coal fields. In 1979, Blagdon produced pneumatic diaphragm pumps, an early version used in mines, made of aluminum and cast iron.
In 1981, the BLAGDON diaphragm pump was sold to Terry Harrison, who invested a lot of money and the company was able to expand and move to its 30,000 square metre factory in Washington, northeast England. In 1997, after Terry Harrison retired, the company was acquired by IDEX.
