Shanxi Axtai Steel Rolling Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "ATR"), located in Taiyuan City, Shanxi Province, is located in the middle of the factory area of Taiyuan Iron and Steel (Group) Co., Ltd. It is a Sino-foreign joint venture integrating roll research and development, production and sales. ATR was established in June 2007. It is a joint venture jointly invested by Taiyuan Iron and Steel (Group) Co., Ltd. and Swedish Akers Group (hereinafter referred to as "Åkers AB"). The foreign party holds 60% of the shares and the Chinese party holds 40% of the shares. In March 2016, after Union Electric Steel acquired Åkers AB, ATR became a subsidiary of Union Electric Åkers (UEA) . ATR uses UEA's advanced roll manufacturing technology simultaneously, and has advanced process equipment for various processes such as metal melting, centrifugal casting, heat treatment, machining and inspection and testing. It focuses on the production of hot continuous rolling (including CSP, ESP), middle plates for global customers, Hot-rolled plate and strip mill work rollers such as furnace coils, materials include high-speed steel, high nickel chromium, high ferrochromium and their improved models, with an annual production capacity of 15,000 tons.
