AirTag
AirTag is a master who can help you easily track various items. Just hang one on the keychain and stuff one into your backpack. When opening the search app, in addition to being able to track your Apple device, you can also see where the keys and backpacks are. With iOS 17, you can share AirTag with five people, so that relatives and friends can also track items shared by everyone, such as umbrellas, bicycles and home car keys.
Just put an AirTag, the problem of where the wallet is will be solved. By finding the "Items" tab of the app, or directly saying "Hey Siri, where did I put my wallet", you can let the AirTag's built-in speaker play a sound to indicate the location. If it is nearby, such as under the sofa or next room, follow the sound and find it easily.
If your AirTag is nearby, iPhone can use the exact lookup feature to guide you to find it step by step. Thanks to the built-in ultra-wideband technology, it also shows how far the item is from you and which direction to look for it. If your stuff lands farther away like a beach or gym, the Find Network will help you track your AirTag. This vast network consists of hundreds of millions of iPhones, iPads and Macs around the world, and is carefully designed to keep your privacy protected at every step.
Your AirTag will send a secure Bluetooth signal that allows the "find" devices near it to detect. These devices will send your AirTag location to iCloud, and you can see it on the map of the search app. The entire process is anonymous and encrypted to protect your privacy. At the same time, searching is also efficient, so there is no need to worry about battery life or data traffic consumption.
Like other Apple devices, AirTag can also be set to Lost Mode. This way, you will automatically receive notifications when other devices in the "Find" network detect it. You can also use settings to allow others to get your contact information when touching your AirTag with an NFC-enabled smartphone.
Only you can see where your AirTag is. Your location data and history are not stored in AirTag. The device that passes your AirTag location data is always anonymous, and the location data is protected by encryption at every step of the search. Therefore, even Apple doesn't know where your AirTag is or what the device that helps find it is.
In order to prevent accidental tracking, AirTag has taken the lead. When someone else's AirTag is mixed into your belongings, the Internet will find it is always following you and send reminders to your iPhone. After a while, if you haven't found this AirTag, it will start playing the sound, letting you know where it is. Of course, if you happen to have a friend around you carrying an AirTag, or if many people on the subway you are taking have AirTags, don’t worry. Because as long as the AirTag does not leave the owner, such a reminder will not be triggered.
The setup is super easy, you can connect the AirTag to your iPhone or iPad immediately with a single touch. Give the AirTag a name, hang it on the item you want to track, and everything is ready. Apple Watch can also receive notifications from AirTag.
